Join as a Part‑time French Teacher/Tutor at Oxford Learning Centres Inc. in Kitchener South. The role involves teaching a maximum of three students per class, primarily in the evenings from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. A one‑year commitment is required.
Responsibilities- Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
- Deliver lessons in French, following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
- Fill in post‑lesson notes and provide daily student communication updates.
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
- Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
- Teaching certification an asset.
- Good knowledge of current Grades 1‑9 French core curriculum.
Experience
- Some experience teaching or tutoring French at a Grade 1‑9 (or equivalent) level.
- Strong English written and oral communication skills.
- Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to teach a minimum of two evenings per week (Monday‑Thursday).
- Instruction must be conducted in French.
- Must be able to commute to the Kitchener South location; relocation packages are not available.
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
