The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics (Lazaridis School) at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Organizational Behaviour/Human Resource Management (OB/HRM) area, commencing July 1, 2027
. These positions are subject to budgetary approval.

Anticipated Salary Range: $120,000 to $170,000. Actual salary to be commensurate with experience.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources, or a related discipline.

This will be an entry level position and please note that we will only be hiring an Assistant Professor at the provisional level. Applicants who expect to complete their PhD within one year of the appointment start date are also encouraged to apply. At least one of the two positions requires research expertise in human resource management.

Successful applicants for this position must also demonstrate:

  • Exceptional research potential, including demonstrated ability to publish in top-tier journals in the field and to maintain a highly productive research agenda,
  • Ability to communicate the relevance of their research to academic and business audiences,
  • Ability to effectively teach courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate (MBA or research-based MSc/PhD) levels, expertise in teaching HR analytics an asset
  • Interest in mentoring MSc/PhD students and supporting their academic and professional development,
  • Willingness and capacity to take on service responsibilities as may be required,
  • Strong commitment to collegiality, and ability and willingness to work collaboratively within the department and the broader academic community.
