Wind Power Technician Job in AB

Exciting opportunity for a Wind Technician at Blu Earth Energy's Hand Hills Wind Facility in Alberta. This full-time, on-site position involves maintaining wind turbine systems and ensuring operational excellence.

As a Wind Technician, your duties will include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of turbine subassemblies, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and providing exceptional support to the team. With two years of wind power experience and a relevant certification, you’ll play a key role in maximizing project returns and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on wind turbine components

• Conduct operational checks and troubleshoot issues

• Change gearbox oil and service mechanical parts

• Maintain documentation and logs for functions performed

• Build positive relationships with stakeholders

Requirements:

• Wind Turbine Technician certificate or related education

• At least two years of experience in wind power

• Excellent problem-solving skills for electrical and mechanical systems

• Ability to travel throughout Canada and the U.S.

• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in varying conditions
