CompensationThe expected salary for this position is $77,083 – $111,000 per year.
Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Job PurposeAs an Engineer/Senior Technologist at PVENG, you will be responsible for reviewing client-submitted pressure equipment design drawings and calculations to ensure compliance with applicable construction codes. You will create detailed 3D models, run and interpret Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and manage Canadian Registration Number (CRN) submissions.
What You’ll Do- Interpret client drawings and validate them against construction codes
- Verify client designs using commercial and customer pressure equipment software
- Act as key communication point for client timelines and design issues
- Run and interpret FEA results
- Work on medium to complex engineering projects
- Develop knowledge in Pressure Vessels, Fittings, Heat Exchangers, FEA, Piping, and Pipe Stress Analysis
- P.Eng designation and minimum 2 years’ experience OR 5 years experience as a technologist
- Knowledge of ASME Codes
- Experience with Compress, PV Elite, Design Calcs, Ansys, Solid Works
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
