Product Engineering Technician

Join Krug as a Product Engineering Technician in Kitchener and innovate high-quality furniture design. Utilize your AutoCAD skills to drive product engineering and create custom designs for our Seating division.

As a full-time Product Engineering Technician at Krug, you will collaborate with the Director of Engineering to engineer new product designs using 2D and 3D AutoCAD. You will generate part drawings, bills of materials, and cost estimates, while providing product specifications and customer layouts.

Your role also involves prototyping, troubleshooting, and driving productivity improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineer innovative product designs and custom solutions

• Create detailed part and assembly drawings

• Generate comprehensive bills of materials for production

• Provide accurate cost estimates and product specifications

• Troubleshoot production issues and enhance efficiencies

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D & 3D drafting techniques

• Knowledge of Lean concepts and process flows

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
