Position: Environmental Compliance Coordinator Role
Location: Mitchell

Take on the role of Environmental Compliance Coordinator with the Municipality of West Perth. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations for water, wastewater, landfill, and solid waste operations.

This full-time contract position focuses on supporting Environmental Services through communication with contractors and regulatory bodies. You’ll manage various programs including water meters, conduct inspections, and prepare compliance reports. This role is perfect for those who have the needed expertise in municipal environmental services and are eager to uphold sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring environmental service operations

• Communicate with various environmental agencies

• Prepare and file required compliance reports

• Support the Municipality's water meter and backflow programs

• Maintain records and oversee operational documentation

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Environmental Studies/Sciences

• Two years of relevant municipal experience

• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license

• Experience with systems like SCADA and Megamation

• Certification in DWQMS Internal Auditing is a plus
