Structural Engineering Intern​/co op

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern/co‑op to be based in the Kitchener, ON office. This is a newly created position.

• Structural modelling with Midas Civil.
• On‑site structure inspections.
• Design for municipal infrastructure using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Micro Station.
• Shop drawing review.
• Inspect all phases of construction to ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with specifications regarding material requirements, alignment, grade, finish, compaction, etc.
• Document site conditions, equipment, material installations, quantities, and the work being performed by the contractor.
• Confirm that all onsite testing during installation are in conformance with the contract specifications.
• Ensure deficiencies are corrected prior to acceptance of the work.
• Ensure overall data quality and integrity.
• Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.
• Undertake quality control procedures.
• Assure that engineering related issues are promptly relayed to the project manager for action and follow up to assure timeliness of resolution efforts.

• Minimum:
  Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with intent to continue attendance following internship. Completed 2 years of study.
• Preferred:
  Interest in Roads and Bridges, previous Bridge Engineering Co‑op, Structural Modeling Experience, Field Experience.

CAD 25 – CAD 27 per hour.
