OpportunityStantec is actively seeking a Transportation Engineer for our team located in Hamilton or London, Ontario office. This group provides consulting services for Class Environmental Assessment, Preliminary Design, and Detail Design projects for public sector clients, including the Ministry of Transportation Ontario and several Ontario Southwest/GTA municipalities.
Key Responsibilities- Directing roadway design staff, and managing multi-discipline project teams
- Financial management of projects including budget forecasting, resource management, change‑order management, and client invoicing
- Developing proposals, budgets and schedules, and ongoing business development and liaison with clients
- Collaborating with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers to identify staffing, equipment, and training requirements
- Supporting the Stantec Quality Management System, and promoting Stantec’s Environmental Health & Safety program
- Ensuring that the required functions of the project are satisfactorily performed
- Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Building a robust culture of quality design and teamwork
- Clients may be both internal and external to Stantec
- Other duties as assigned/required
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and customer relationship skills are essential
- Experience in AutoCAD, Microstation and Open Roads or Civil 3D software
- Experience in report and proposal writing
- Experience roadway design
• University or college degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in the field of road design and construction
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or LEL) is required
• Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience with project management or engineering design responsibilities
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
CompensationPay Range (Outside of Lower Mainland - BC & Various locations in Ontario): $89,200.00 - $ Annually
