Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern/co‑op to be based in our Kitchener, ON office. This is a newly created position.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Structural modelling with Midas Civil.
On‑Site Structure inspections
Design for municipal infrastructure using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Micro Station
Shop Drawing Review
Inspect all phases of construction to ensure that the work is carried out in accordance to specifications regarding material requirements, alignment, grade, finish, compaction, etc.
Document the site conditions, equipment, material installations, quantities and the work being performed by the Contractor
Confirm that all onsite testing during installation are in conformance with the Contract Specifications
Ensures deficiencies are corrected prior to acceptance of the work
Ensuring overall data quality and integrity
Prepare documentation for design projects and reports
Undertake quality control procedures
Assures that engineering related issues are promptly relayed to the Project Manager for action and follows up to assure timeliness of resolution efforts

Qualifications
Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with the intent to continue attendance following the internship.
Completed 2 years of study

Previous Bridge Engineering Co‑op
Structural Modeling Experience
Field Experience
