Your Impact
Jacobs is searching for a highly motivated, adaptable, and communicative team player to join projects in Plympton, Wyoming, Ontario.
Responsibilities
Report to the Lead Operator and/or Project Manager in a municipal water and wastewater operations environment.
Oversee day‑to‑day operations, maintenance and compliance for municipal water and wastewater systems.
Operate and monitor system processes; ensure adherence to the Drinking Water Quality Management Standard and all applicable regulations, legislation and procedures.
Respond to after‑hour calls and alarms associated with the municipality’s water and wastewater systems.
Maintain accurate logs, take samples, interpret results, and make process control adjustments to resolve operating issues.
Use computer software, including SCADA and other operational and data collection/reporting systems.
Travel within a one‑hour radius of the project location to meet contract response requirements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency.
Demonstrated experience/knowledge in repair, replacement, installation and maintenance of water and wastewater system components.
Strong knowledge of regulatory and legislative acts, codes, policies, guidelines and procedures related to water operations and maintenance.
Knowledge of laboratory analytical procedures and QA/QC programs.
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints and other technical specifications.
Familiarity with computers, including monitoring and operating systems (SCADA) and other operational and process data collection/reporting systems.
Analytical, problem‑solving, planning and scheduling skills to inspect, operate and monitor facilities and equipment.
Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance, take samples, interpret results and make process control adjustments.
Good oral and written communication skills for liaising with coworkers, clients and suppliers, while keeping accurate logs and writing reports.
Ability to work in a team environment, take initiative, manage multiple changing demands and priorities, and work independently.
Valid Class G driver’s licence.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Consideration given to candidates who hold Class 1, 2 or 3 licenses in wastewater treatment, water distribution and supply, or wastewater collection.

Salary
Base salary range: $49,920.00 to $62,400.00, depending on work location, experience and education.
