Join WSP as a Senior Environmental Permitting Specialist focused on large infrastructure projects in Ontario. This critical role requires robust regulatory expertise and effective stakeholder engagement skills. WSP seeks an experienced qualified to manage permitting strategies from design through construction. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while liaising with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
Your role includes overseeing risks, tracking permits, and developing effective mitigation strategies for project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead permitting strategies for large infrastructure projects
- Provide regulatory advice and manage risks effectively
- Oversee acquisition of permits and licenses
- Implement tracking tools for approvals and compliance
- Act as primary contact for regulators and stakeholders
- 10+ years in environmental permitting in Ontario
- Robust knowledge of provincial and federal legislation
- Proven success in delivering permitting strategies
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience with construction-phase compliance
