Position: Experienced Die Designer at Cooper Standard
Location: Stratford

Join Cooper Standard as a full-time Die Designer in Stratford, Ontario, focusing on developing tooling and dies for automotive manufacturing. Play a key role in meeting safety and quality standards through innovative design solutions.

In this role, you will design and develop dies and tooling to support new product introductions and manufacturing processes. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you’ll ensure efficient fabrication and help identify and resolve tooling-related challenges on the shop floor. Your contributions will drive continuous improvement in manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create designs for extrusion dies and mechanical assemblies

• Conduct CFD analysis for die flow path optimization

• Coordinate with machinists and engineers for tool trials

• Update designs to enhance process optimization

• Keep organized design libraries adhering to standards

Requirements:

• Engineering Technologist or equivalent degree

• At least 2 years of experience in tooling design

• Strong Solid Works design skills

• CFD analysis experience desired

• Familiarity with Mastercam is advantageous
