The Actuarial Associate Program offers an exciting opportunity for experienced analysts to dive into the actuarial profession at Sun Life. As a member of our Actuarial Community, you will have access to robust support networks while pursuing your FSA/FCIA designation. Rotation Program
You will have the opportunity to explore diverse positions across multiple departments during your career at Sun Life. This variety allows you to develop a holistic view of Sun Life’s business while engaging in exciting initiatives (e.g. data analytics, predictive modelling).
Functional roles include:
Product Design and Management
Financial Reporting and Valuation
Asset Liability Management
Capital Management
Risk Management
Exam Support
Study time, exam fee coverage and study materials
Salary increases and bonuses related to exam passes
ARE YOU A GOOD FIT?
We are looking for the following qualifications:
We consider candidates from all backgrounds, but preference is given to those with a university degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or related degrees
At least three years of actuarial work experience (preferably in insurance or reinsurance)
Successfully obtained ASA/ACIA designation
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills to deal with both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with enthusiasm to think creatively to develop new and improved solutions
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work both independently and in a team environment
Proficiency in AXIS, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; strong programming skills an asset

As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide
