Finance Director University Administration

Apply advanced budgeting, analysis, and compliance expertise as Finance Director at Martin Luther University College in Waterloo, Ontario. This full-time position is primarily in office.

The Finance Director leads financial planning, management, reporting, and administrative functions for Luther. Reporting to the Principal-Dean, the role prepares forecasts, manages controls, coordinates audits, and supports financial accountability for a $4 million operating budget. It also advises managers, faculty, and the Finance Committee.

• Maintain effective operating budget, cash management, and expenditure controls
• Prepare annual financial statements and external organizational reporting
• Manage grant financial commitments and project reporting
• Advise on funding agreements with Wilfrid Laurier University
• Act as Chief Compliance Officer for reporting and legal requirements

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation and relevant bachelor’s degree
• Advanced financial planning, budgeting, and analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of public sector or fund accounting
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Post-secondary, public sector, or nonprofit experience preferred
