ASO Billing Operations Manager

Lead ASO billing operations at Manulife in a hybrid Waterloo setting, overseeing reconciliations, financial controls, and client account accuracy.

The Manager, Administrative Services Only Billing leads financial administration for self-funded employee benefit plans. Reporting to the Director, Sponsor Financial Services, this role oversees billing, funding arrangements, payments, reconciliations, and financial transactions. Success requires leadership across Finance, Underwriting, Sales, Risk Management, and Operations.

• Lead daily administration of self-funded benefit plan billing operations
• Oversee monthly bill runs, invoicing, adjustments, recoveries, and taxes
• Reconcile client accounts, funding arrangements, and financial activity
• Resolve complex transactions, escalations, exceptions, and suspense items
• Maintain controls supporting financial accuracy and audit readiness

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, commerce, economics, mathematics, or related field
• Three to five years of progressive leadership experience in financial operations
• Experience with reconciliations, risk management, and operational governance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and relationship management skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement process improvements
