The Region of Waterloo seeks a Growth Information Specialist to deliver critical analysis and forecasts in a hybrid environment. Use your expertise to support regional planning and decision-making.
As a full-time specialist, you will provide research insights on population, households, and employment in Waterloo Region. You will coordinate data projects, perform in-depth analysis, and lead collaboration among stakeholders to address growth trends. Your recommendations will directly inform service delivery and regional planning initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with various partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze environmental and housing data for growth management
• Lead the development of forecasts and population estimates
• Collaborate with working groups on planning initiatives
• Present complex data insights to leadership and councils
• Oversee data integrity and project administration
Requirements:
• 4-year degree in Planning or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in statistical analysis and GIS tools
• Knowledge of planning legislations and policies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
