Interim Purchasing Manager

Step into a pivotal role as the Interim Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager at a leading industrial manufacturer in Kitchener, Ontario. This immediate 6-month assignment calls for a hands-on leader to enhance supply chain operations and procurement performance.

You will report directly to the Plant Manager and collaborate with regional teams to drive operational improvements and ensure material availability. This role demands a seasoned professional with validated success in stabilizing supply chains, optimizing inventory, and executing effective solutions in a manufacturing context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead purchasing, sourcing, and materials planning activities

• Ensure uninterrupted materials to meet production schedules

• Identify and mitigate inherent supply chain risks

• Improve inventory accuracy and working capital performance

• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years in Supply Chain or Procurement leadership

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably industrial machinery

• Proven success in operational improvements and change management

• Strong negotiation and contract management background

• Understanding of ERP/MRP systems
