Trade Compliance Logistics Manager

Lead global logistics and trade compliance at IDEX’s Waterloo site, managing customs, transportation, documentation, and regulatory controls. Occasional customer-site travel may be required.

The Trade Compliance and Logistics Manager develops import and export strategy while overseeing freight, customs, order processing, and compliance. This position manages air, sea, road, and courier shipments, supports international projects, and guides internal stakeholders. It also leads people, performance tracking, audits, and continuous improvement across logistics operations.

• Develop import and export logistics strategy
• Manage global transportation and freight providers
• Maintain customs compliance, classifications, licensing, and valuations
• Oversee import, export, and order documentation
• Coach teams and monitor departmental performance

• Extensive logistics or freight forwarding experience
• Experience coordinating global air, sea, and road shipments
• Demonstrable customs administration and duty management experience
• Deep knowledge of import and export regulations
• Strong organization, judgment, communication, and problem-solving abilities
