The Rural Municipality of Hanover - Mitchell, MB

Summer Parks Staff gain valuable job experience while directly working in their local community. We are looking to hire from May to the end of August at full-time hours (generally 40 hours/week).

The positions we wish to fill are General Parks and Recreation Labourers for Mitchell, Grunthal, Blumenort, Kleefeld, New Bothwell, and the RM office.

A laborer would be involved in mowing and trimming municipal properties, garbage cleanup, and other projects which may include painting and similar tasks.

• High school graduate
• Have a valid MB driver’s license (clean driver’s abstract)
• Reliable transportation to/from work
• Have a good attitude
• Physically fit and active
• Enjoyment of working outside in ALL weather
• Able to work well with others and take direction
• Have some or a little yard work experience
• Have an ability to work with machinery like a mower or yard trimmer
• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Able to lift 50 lbs. (23 kg)

The successful applicants will be required to provide a Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check and will be paid according to municipal salary grid based on qualifications and experience.
