Nithview Community is a seniors' community designed to provide several types of accommodation and services. Residents are able to choose the type of accommodation that is most appropriate for their care needs and continue to live within the community of care as their needs change. Emphasis is placed on assisting residents to live life to the fullest in this dynamic residential setting.
About the Position:
As part of the maintenance team, provide general building maintenance services to Tri-County Mennonite Homes (TCMH) and its divisions. Will be responsible for working with the maintenance team to keep all TCMH buildings safe, clean, and operating. Full-time team members will be compensated for on-call and after hours work.
- Provide general building maintenance services to TCMH and its divisions.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep all buildings safe, clean, and operating.
- Work on-call and after hours as required.
- Experience:
Previous general maintenance experience in an institutional setting is preferred, preferably in a healthcare environment. - Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of general repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and equipment servicing.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis (4‑week rotation).
- Ability to work as a team member and independently.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to assess situations and make judgments regarding work to be completed.
- Interact with sub-trades and suppliers as required.
