Automotive Maintenance Manager

Lead maintenance operations in Kitchener, Ontario with an impactful role as an Automotive Maintenance & Facilities Manager. Oversee a skilled team to ensure smooth plant functions and equipment efficiency.

This hands-on position in a high-volume automotive manufacturing plant requires a leader with extensive technical expertise. Ideal candidates will have a background in millwrighting, electrical work, or automation, along with experience in preventive maintenance, hydraulic systems, and PLC-based technologies. The role directly contributes to operational efficiency and safety management across site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a 25–30 member skilled trades team

• Implement effective preventive maintenance programs

• Manage building systems and facility upgrades

• Support maintenance of PLCs and automated lines

• Conduct root-cause analysis for equipment reliability

Requirements:

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience

• Skilled trades background in millwright, electrician, or automation

• Strong hands-on expertise in hydraulics and CNC

• Proven leadership in union or non-union settings

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
