Part Time Environmental Service Attendant

Become an Environmental Service Attendant at Providence Care Hospital, ensuring cleanliness and safety for all staff, clients, and visitors. This part-time role focuses on cleaning and maintaining the hospital environment effectively.

In this position, you will support the Environmental Services Department by adhering to established policies and procedures. Your tasks will include operating heavy-duty cleaning equipment, waste disposal, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred to fulfill the job's expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and dispose of waste efficiently, including biomedical waste

• Perform spot cleaning and daily maintenance of surfaces and floors

• Execute thorough cleaning routines in isolation rooms

• Identify supply needs and communicate with the Service Manager

• Participate in quality audits to meet cleaning standards

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or grade 12 equivalency

• Six months of recent experience in a sanitation role

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

• Understanding of hospital cleaning standards

• Ability to operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment
