Be a vital part of Sunnyside Home as a Laundry Technician, where your skills ensure the comfort of residents through clean and well-managed laundry services. This temporary full-time position is filled with purpose.
As a Laundry Technician, you will handle soiled linen with care, ensuring proper washing and distribution while adhering to safety and infection control guidelines. Your work will help create a home-like environment where residents feel at ease and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
• Efficiently transport and sort dirty laundry
• Operate laundry machines while monitoring quality
• Fold, hang, and distribute clean items throughout the home
• Ensure cleanliness of laundry processing areas
• Follow established infection control protocols
Requirements:
• Completion of grade 12 or equivalent experience
• Understanding of cleaning procedures and regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Must have a current tuberculosis test and immunizations
• Current vulnerable sector police check required
