Job Description

At you will take charge of performing a variety of different tasks, troubleshooting and repairing different platforms and ensuring that we perpetually work toward a higher level of quality. We need a Robot Mechanic to take responsibility in ensuring the product performs as designed and troubleshoot issues. You will contribute to a team dedicated to delivering top-quality robots. Additionally, when you are not repairing robots or running scripts, you will task yourself with maintaining the organization of the documentation.

You will report to the Production Manager, and work onsite in Kitchener, ON. Our facility presently operates with 1 regular day shift, 7:30am - 4pm. Overtime may be required.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform final test on finish good robots.
  • Use computers and automated scripts.
  • Use crane and forklift.
  • Document robotics test procedures and results.
  • Assist engineers in the design, configuration, or application of robotic systems.
  • Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
  • Train customers or other personnel to install, use, or maintain robots.
  • Align, fit, or assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
  • Look up drawings, schematics, and bills of materials using our online platform.
  • Troubleshoot robotic systems using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
  • Test the performance of robotic assemblies using instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, or bridges.
  • Disassemble and reassemble robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs, such as replacing defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, and servo motors.
  • Support production increase by performing process improvements in your daily activities.
  • Ensuring your workspace follows 6'S guidelines
  • Use a computer for work instructions

  • The Essentials
    - You Will Have:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future for this job opening.
  • The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • 2+ years experience working with ERP systems.
  • Hobbies that involve assembly with hand tools, car maintenance for instance.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Continuous Improvement Process.
  • 6S methodology.
  • Previously being part of a Health & Safety Committee.

    For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $55,040.00- $82,560.00 with an annual target bonus of 4% of base salary. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
