Lab Technician, Processing Facilities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine sample preparation and analysis using ICP, GC ECD, Bomb Calorimeter, Auto Titrator and Karl-Fischer.
• Sample drums and perform compatibility testing and analysis.
• Report analytical results and coordinate with production personnel.
• Maintain accurate analysis, maintenance, and production records.
• Assist other facility operators as needed.
• Perform general laboratory and facility housekeeping duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor.

• Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technician or Technologist of related Diploma.
• Previous lab experience is an asset.
• Competent computer skills (MS Windows and Office).
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be safety conscious and detail oriented.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and work with minimum supervision.
• Willing to work overtime, alternate shifts and occasional weekends.
