• Slaughter livestock
• Remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses
• Clean and trim carcasses
• Split carcasses into smaller portions to facilitate handling
• Use knives and saw
• Remove excess fat, bruises or other blemishes from carcass or meat portions
• Work with animal blood and a variety of parts from a butchered animal

• Physically demanding

• Slaughter house, meat processing and packing establishment

• Competitive wages ($25.69 per hour to $28.35 per hour)

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Some high school education
• Commitment to safety and quality processes
• At least 3 months of experience in retail/wholesale or industrial butchery and/or other knife skills
• Attention to detail

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and decision-making skills
• Basic English communication skills
• Basic security clearance

Shift: Day shift starts between 6:00 am and 7:00 am;
Afternoon shift starts between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. 40 hours per week, with a weekly pay cycle via direct deposit.
