Summary
The CNC Machinist responsible for producing large, high quality landing gear components with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency and with great attention paid to health and safety standards.

Salary range: $31-$37 per hour

Main Responsibilities

Machine Control which includes pull and send programs; tool change; trouble shooting; entering tool offsets; M.D.I.

Understanding setup sheets, tool lists and Operational Detail Sheetsà

Calculating Work Offsets/Indicating

Understanding programmed tool path

Tightening and clamping pressures (i.e. ‘Free State’ condition and part clamped maintaining free state)

Ability to read, understand G and M codes

Tape proving new and modified programs, anticipating what the machine will do before it cuts

Preventive maintenance

5-S Activities

Pre-start up inspections which incorporate Health & Safety awareness

Running a combined number of machines simultaneously in a safe and effective manner. (Combo)

Other duties as assigned

Adhering at all times to company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements

Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Ability to help produce large, high quality parts in a safe, productive and efficient manner.

Ability to take direction from and interact with co-workers in a productive and positive manner.

The ability to wear the required PPE.

Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGP directives.
