Operating on a desirable fixed day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, this role offers the perfect work-life balance for professionals looking to establish themselves within the manufacturing & logistics sector. Please note that because the manufacturing facility is located just outside the transit-accessible limits of Kitchener, having a reliable personal vehicle is a requirement for this position, as it is not currently serviced by public bus routes.
As a stamping press operator in the automotive industry, you will play a critical role in the daily production lifecycle, ensuring that high-quality metal components are formed, inspected, and prepared for assembly. This position is ideally suited for an experienced machine professional, but our client is highly open to entry-level candidates who demonstrate a passionate willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities
• Operate heavy-duty automated stamping presses safely and efficiently to produce high-tolerance automotive components.
• Perform routine visual quality inspections on incoming raw materials and finished stamped parts to identify defects, burrs, or irregularities.
• Load steel coils or blanks into feeding mechanisms and monitor the continuous flow of the press line.
• Use basic measuring tools and gauges to verify that part dimensions strictly align with automotive engineering blueprints.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation in accordance with company safety policies and OHS guidelines.
• Document production counts, scrap metrics, and hourly output logs accurately within the internal tracking system.
• Report any mechanical malfunctions, tool wear, or structural irregularities immediately to the shift supervisor or maintenance team.
• Collaborate productively with forklift operators and material handlers to ensure a steady supply of blanks and empty bins.
Qualifications
• Possession of a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license, as the plant location is outside the Kitchener bus route network.
• Prior experience operating a stamping press or working within an automotive manufacturing environment is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent practical experience in a fast-paced industrial or labor-intensive setting.
• Ability to provide solid professional references verifying your historical track record of punctuality and great attendance.
• Steel-toed safety boots (CSA approved) and a commitment to wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) daily.
• Legal authorization to work full-time hours in Canada for any employer without sponsorship.
