Job Description

Join our team as an Electromechanical Assembler, where you will apply your expertise in using hand tools such as torque wrenches, nut drivers, and Allen wrenches to perform daily assembly tasks. You will utilize measuring equipment like calipers, micrometers, and standard rulers to ensure products meet specifications. Additionally, you'll follow and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and operation sheets to assemble products according to standard work instructions.

Your role involves adjusting equipment based on test results and a thorough understanding of processes and machinery. Adherence to PPE standards is essential to prevent contamination by foreign objects and debris. You will perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and record any identified defects. Reworking and repairing assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes will also be part of your duties.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand tools such as torque wrenches, nut drivers, and Allen wrenches for daily assembly tasks.
• Employ measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and standard rulers, to ensure products meet specifications.
• Follow and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and operation sheets for standard work instructions in assembling products.
• Adjust equipment based on test results and a thorough understanding of processes and machinery.
• Adhere to PPE standards to prevent foreign objects and debris from contaminating products.
• Perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and record identified defects.
• Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of assembly experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical fields.
• 3+ years of experience with hand and power tools.
• 3+ years of experience reading schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Basic computer knowledge and operation.
• Ability to complete documentation as needed.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean, bright, and open assembly area as part of a small team. The environment is climate-controlled to ensure comfort. Initially, you will start on the day shift for a minimum of six weeks for training, then transitioning to afternoon shifts. Day shifts training run from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, while afternoon shifts are from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, Monday to Thursday.

This is a Permanent position based out of Waterloo, ON.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Waterloo,ON.
