Location: Elmira

Welder Fitter (MIG)

Locations: Elmira & Hawkesville, ON

Permanent, Full-time

We are currently seeking experienced MIG Welders to join our clients' growing team at their Elmira and Hawkesville manufacturing facilities. If you have experience welding heavy-gauge steel, can interpret blueprints, and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $28.00 - $36.00/hour (based on experience and skill level)
  • Night Shift Premium: Additional $3.00/hour
  • No rotating shifts
  • Comprehensive benefits after 90 days
  • Voluntary RRSP program
  • 2 weeks paid vacation

Day Shift (44 hours/week) Monday
- Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Night Shift ( Monday
- Friday: 5:00 PM - 4:30 AM ($3/hr premium)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of MIG welding experience
  • Experience welding heavy gauge steel
  • Strong fitting and fabrication experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • MIG welding certification or vocational training is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements.
  • Fit, assemble, and weld products according to engineering drawings and company specifications.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards, tolerances, and specifications are met.
  • Make adjustments or repairs as required to maintain product quality.
  • Operate cranes and other material handling equipment to safely move components throughout the welding area.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives.
