About the Role:

We are seeking a Plant Manager for our Kitchener, ON facility, a leading manufacturer of quality crackers. This role is responsible for providing overall leadership and accountability for plant operations with a strong focus on delivering results. In partnership with the site leadership team, the Plant Manager will drive employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost management, and production performance to meet or exceed business objectives.

The successful candidate will identify and implement strategic opportunities to improve operational efficiency, safety, throughput, productivity, schedule attainment, cost reduction, and product quality while fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

You will add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
Providing coaching and leadership to team members in the areas of employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost, and equipment reliability to elevate the team’s performance. Promoting a safety culture and ensuring adherence to all health and safety policies/protocols. Leading the development, execution, and monitoring of the operations strategy in line with the overall operational objectives to achieve safety, quality and performance improvement and ensure achievement of manufacturing goals.

Leading the continuous improvement program to deliver opportunities in cost, quality, food safety and service. Utilizing available data including OEE, line speed target, and efficiency and process data to continuously improve productivity, uptime, and reliability. Coordinating manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
