Hatchery Sanitation Worker Afternoon Shift

Keep Maple Leaf Foods’ New Hamburg Hatchery clean and biosecure while using sanitation procedures and working an active afternoon schedule.

As a full-time Hatchery Sanitation Worker, you will clean production areas, equipment, and vehicles supporting chick health and welfare. The position includes on-the-job training, a regular four-day week, and work from 2:00 p.m. until sanitation tasks finish. You will follow established processes, biosecurity requirements, and safety procedures. The hatchery is approximately 15 minutes from Kitchener.

• Clean and disinfect hatchery areas, equipment, and transportation vehicles
• Follow the seven-step sanitation process preventing cross-contamination
• Mix and apply cleaning products at required concentrations
• Dispose of egg waste and hatch debris properly
• Complete pre-operational checks and basic sanitation equipment maintenance

• Comfort working afternoon shifts until daily tasks finish
• Ability to stand and repeatedly lift up to 40 pounds
• Comfort working at heights and on wet surfaces
• Ability to follow SOPs, biosecurity, and safety procedures
• Willingness to learn; no formal education required
