The Officer, Engagement will play an important role in the coordination, delivery and continued growth of the Foundation’s engagement strategy. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, managing multiple priorities and creating exceptional experiences. The Officer, Engagement will coordinate and lead engagement activities designed to introduce prospective supporters to WRHN Foundation, deepen existing relationships and create meaningful connections between our community and the healthcare happening across WRHN.
The Officer, Engagement will support and take ownership of key components of the Inside WRHN tour program, donor and prospect engagement, the WRHN Family Campaign, physician and grateful patient engagement, Community “Ask” events, and other donor and community engagement experiences. This includes leading follow‑up and stewardship activities, cultivating early‑stage prospective supporters, coordinating engagement initiatives and events, and helping move qualified prospects through the Foundation’s engagement and fundraising pipeline.
The Officer, Engagement will work collaboratively with colleagues across WRHN Foundation, hospital teams, physicians, clinical leaders, volunteers and community partners to ensure engagement programs are coordinated, donor‑centred and impactful.

Kitchener-Waterloo, Hybrid; 235 The Boardwalk suite 300, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, N2N 0B1; three (3) days per week in office.

Inside WRHN provides community members, donors and prospective supporters with an opportunity to experience healthcare firsthand and better understand the impact of philanthropy across our hospital system.
- Coordinating tour schedules, registrations, participant communications and logistics across WRHN sites and clinical areas.
- Working with hospital teams, physicians and clinical leaders to coordinate tour experiences.
- Managing guest confirmations, reminders, attendance and post tour communications.
- Helping ensure every participant receives a welcoming, professional and meaningful experience.
- Leading the project management of the follow up activities and tracking participant engagement following each tour including, as required, speaking with prospective supporters.
- Maintaining accurate records within the Foundation’s constituent relationship management system.
- Supporting the Director, Engagement in the continued implementation of the Benevon engagement model and the movement of prospective supporters through the Foundation’s engagement pipeline.
The Officer, Engagement will support opportunities for donors, prospective donors and community members to learn more about WRHN, connect with the people delivering care and understand the impact they can have on local healthcare.
- Supporting and as required, leading any donor and prospective donor meetings, tours, presentations and engagement experiences.
- Preparing participant information, briefing materials and other resources to support engagement activities.
- Leading timely follow up arising from tours, meetings and other engagement opportunities.
- Ensuring relevant engagement information accurately captured and shared with appropriate Foundation team members.
- Leading stewardship activities that help strengthen relationships with existing donors, table captains and supporters.
- Collaborating with Philanthropy, Fundraising Events, Marketing and Communications, Stewardship and Foundation Operations, and as required, WRHNF and WRHN Board and Senior Leadership Teams, to provide a seamless donor and community experience.
