Elevate your nursing career with an extended role position in Eeyou. This role includes advanced patient assessment and intervention tasks traditionally reserved for doctors, ensuring comprehensive care.
As an Extended Role Nurse, you will serve at a local outpost, working closely with patients aged 10-29. This position prioritizes a multidisciplinary approach to enhance the health and well-being of Eeyou youth. Your crucial role includes assessing patients and implementing appropriate interventions while also being prepared for on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct advanced patient assessments for telemedicine
• Implement doctor-recommended interventions efficiently
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
• Provide care and support to youth and families
• Participate in on-call periods for current services
Requirements:
• Registered nurse in good standing with O.I.I.Q
• Minimum three years of nursing experience
• One year in critical care or two years at CBHSSJB
• Fluent in English;
Cree or French is an asset
• Class 5 driver's license
