In the role of Registered Practical Nurse at Age Care, you will provide vital nursing care to enhance the lives of residents in our long-term care facility. This position involves working with Personal Support Workers under regulated standards while coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure residents' health needs are met effectively. Your input will help in shaping policies to improve overall resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care per medical standards and procedures
• Direct Personal Support Workers in their caregiving roles
• Liaise with healthcare professionals regarding resident health
• Participate in shift change discussions to communicate vital information
• Contribute insights into policy updates for the unit
Requirements:
• Solid foundation in geriatric and long-term care nursing
• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations
• Active member of the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
• Knowledge of the nursing home's operational regulations
