Job Description
This is a replacement vacancy. In this nursing role, as a Pediatric Nurse you will have scheduled shifts to care for patients in a school setting. You will work with patients within pediatric ages with differing complexity of care needs and play a key role in helping patients remain comfortable. This is a Full-Time position, requires travel anywhere within the Waterloo Region.
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. One evening on-call shift per week: 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. Regular weekend on-call rotation:
Friday at 4:30 p.m. – Monday at 8:00 a.m. Care for pediatric patients with varying levels of medical complexity, including palliative care HPC training courses required

- Using appropriate assessment tools/techniques to assess patients’ individualized needs
- Executing and continuously monitor care plans
- Engaging patients using a collaborative approach by building rapport and trust
- Maintaining and update professional patient records related to patient encounters and plans
- Registration with the CNO as a Nurse in good standing
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required
- Experience in Pediatric care is mandatory
- Experience in delivering community care is an asset
- Clinical skills in gastric feed, tracheostomy, and ventilation care strongly preferred
- Reliability and flexibility
- Willingness to travel to and from patient residences within a designated area

- Required on‑call coverage, including after hours to ensure patient safety and to meet patient care needs
