As a temporary full-time RPN, you will engage with patients suffering from severe mental illnesses and those in psychosocial crises. By working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting, you will deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care adhering to Canadian standards. Your contributions will create a safe, supportive environment essential for patient recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychiatric nursing care aligned with recovery principles
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a team setting
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients
• Ensure a safe environment for all attendees
• Assist with patient education and support initiatives
Requirements:
• Valid RPN certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 1 year experience in mental health nursing mandatory
• Preferred post diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
• Current certifications in Heart Saver and de-escalation
• Familiarity with mental health laws and practices
