Acute care nursing at Lake of the Woods District Hospital combines hands-on patient care with strong communication across medical and pediatric settings.
As a part-time permanent Registered Nurse in the Medical/Pediatric Department, you will assist patients with various acuities. You will build rapport with patients and families while contributing as an integral team member. The department values compassion, collaboration, excellence, integrity, and respect.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide hands-on care in medical and pediatric units
- Assist patients across various acuity levels
- Build rapport with patients and families
- Communicate effectively across varied care settings
- Contribute as an integral healthcare team member
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BCLS certification with annual recertification
- Blood Glucose Monitoring certification with annual recertification
- IV Therapy certification with ongoing competence
- Current NRP certification with bi-annual recertification
