Magellan Aerospace, Kitchener has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Quality Control Co-op Student for the Fall 2026 term (September to December) with the possibility of extension to August 2027 (12 months total). The purpose of this position is to support quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives within aerospace manufacturing operations. The successful incumbent will assist with quality inspections, maintain quality documentation and records, support non-conformance and corrective action processes, monitor quality performance metrics, collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues, and contribute to process improvement efforts while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Essential Responsibilities
Maintain accurate quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action documentation.
Prepare quality performance metrics and present findings to management for continuous improvement.
Track and report supplier quality performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product reliability and reduce defects.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Manufacturing), Quality Management, or a related technical field.
Experience with inspection techniques in aerospace manufacturing environments.
Ability to lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work in highly regulated, safety-critical environments.
Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM exposure is a bonus).
