Position: Health and Safety Auditor at Conestoga Meats

As a key member of the Health, Safety and Wellness team, your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough audits and inspections throughout the facility. Reporting to the Health, Safety and Wellness Manager, you will ensure that all practices comply with local, federal, and industry health and safety regulations. Your findings will help minimize risks and promote a robust safety culture among team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits assessing workplace health and safety conditions

• Review policies to ensure compliance with health regulations

• Identify hazards and propose corrective measures

• Prepare reports updating management on audit findings

• Assist in implementing wellness programs and initiatives

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in a relevant field; safety certification is an asset

• Understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

• Previous auditing experience in health and safety

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong organizational and verbal communication skills
