Temporary Cashier at Giant Tiger

Deliver exceptional customer service as a temporary Cashier at Giant Tiger in Listowel, Ontario. This role focuses on accurately managing transactions and maintaining checkout cleanliness.

Giant Tiger is seeking a Cashier to join their team on a temporary basis until September 2026. You will ensure high customer service levels at mainline and self-checkouts while following health, safety, and loss prevention policies. Flexibility is essential, as shifts will vary between full-time and part-time schedules, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent service at checkout stations

• Accurately record transactions in the cash register

• Replenish merchandise at checkout areas

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace

• Follow compliance policies for Tobacco and Lottery sales

Requirements:

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Attention to detail in tasks and transactions

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Must be physically able to lift up to 40 lbs

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
