Medical device sales and business development define this Merit Medical role, requiring client communication, product knowledge, and extensive travel with customers.
The Business Development Manager identifies opportunities, evaluates potential deals, and develops negotiating strategies for new ventures. This position also manages existing accounts, presents Merit products, prepares pricing contracts, and supports customer satisfaction. Success requires direct sales experience, strong presentations, and understanding medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Research industry trends, events, publications, and announcements
- Locate potential partners and explore business opportunities
- Analyze deal requirements, market strategies, potential, and financials
- Develop and negotiate contracts for new business
- Present Merit products and explain their benefits
- Related bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum five years of direct sales experience
- Medical product sales experience preferred
- Excellent oral presentation and communication skills
- Ability to learn medical equipment usage and improvements
