Key Responsibilities:
Report to base operations at Wilfrid Laurier University for sign-in, briefing, and equipment pickup.Enforce wristband protocols at designated access control points.Maintain high visibility and professionalism at posts near university buildings and residences.Monitor crowds, control access points, and report incidents or suspicious activities to site management and SCS Communications.Respond to supervisor direction regarding possible relocation of posts during the event.Use radios to maintain active communication – radios must remain on and with you at all times unless transferred to relief guard during break.Remain standing or walking for extended periods; many posts are outdoors and will require working in varying weather conditions.Follow all on-site protocolsQualifications:
Valid Security Guard License (Ontario)Valid First AID & CPR C (WSIB Approved)Ability to stand and walk for long durationsComfortable working outdoors for entire shiftStrong communication and conflict de-escalation skillsAbility to follow protocol and maintain a professional demeanorPrevious event or crowd control experience considered an assetAuthorized to legally work in CanadaWhy choose Paladin?
