Supporting Community Connections Facilitator

Become a key player in community empowerment as a WALES Community Facilitator at Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region. Help adults with disabilities build connections and achieve their goals.

This important role provides a unique opportunity to impact individuals' lives directly in a supportive environment. You'll collaborate with members to develop tailored plans for accessing community services, fostering growth, and enhancing their quality of life within their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Forge connections with community members and stakeholders

• Support individualized goal-setting and resource exploration

• Facilitate group discussions and workshops for members

• Mediate and problem-solve for those in need

• Oversee safety measures during activities both at WALES and in public

Requirements:

• Diploma in a related field or relevant experience

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills

• Proven ability to multitask in a lively setting

• Understanding of local community resources beneficial

• Access to transportation is an asset
