Part‑Time Homemaker – Independent Contractor
Area:
Kitchener – Cambridge – North Dumfries (and surrounding area)
Salary: $22.00 per hour (may be eligible for $26.00 per hour)
Flexible part‑time hours
Job Description
Hiring independent contractors to assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and minor meal preparation only. Homemakers do not provide personal hygiene care, lifting, bathing, dressing, or biohazard cleaning. The role supports older adults and persons with disabilities living within the Greater Kitchener‑Cambridge‑North Dumfries area.
Responsibilities
Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
Assist with laundry, ironing, and related chores.
Prepare minor meals (e.g., breakfasts, quick snacks) as needed by clients.
Maintain a tidy and safe client home environment.
Follow client instructions and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Qualifications
Exceptional cleaning skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Some experience working with older adults and/or persons with disabilities.
Access to a reliable vehicle for transportation between client homes.
Requirements
Recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check (VSPC).
Three personal references (excluding family members) with full names, email addresses, phone numbers, and nature of relationship.
Driver's license and ownership of a reliable vehicle.
VSPC certificate issued within the last 6 months.
