Enhance community health support as a Community Withdrawal Support Counsellor vide essential guidance to clients dealing with substance withdrawal in Rural Wellington.
Stonehenge seeks a Community Withdrawal Support Counsellor responsible for supporting clients with substance use issues during withdrawal. You'll collaborate with agencies and primary care providers to improve community services, engaging directly with clients and families. Educational outreach and collaboration with service providers are key tasks in this highly impactful role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake procedures and client screenings
• Coordinate clinical and support services effectively
• Develop and monitor withdrawal support plans
• Provide 1:1 counselling and psycho educational interventions
• Facilitate community education on addiction services
Requirements:
• BSW, MSW, or relevant Master's degree required
• At least 1 year of experience in withdrawal management
• Previous experience in rural service settings preferred
• Valid G Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
• Ability to respond effectively to crises
