Job Title:
Firmware Developer
Our company is seeking an Embedded System Designer with hands on HW and FW development experience to join our product development team. We are looking for a highly motivated and focused person who wants to springboard their career with a growing engineering / manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be provided with adequate coaching and training on existing products and systems.
Job Responsibilities- Analyze customer requirements and develop a detailed HW/SW architecture.
- Perform system design, HW/FW and interface trade offs and feasibility study.
- Develop new Firmware for existing Hardware design.
- Maintain and improve existing “360 Controls” systems.
- Develop HW & FW verification and validation process.
- Develop modular, well organized, readable FW in compliance to design requirements and best design practices.
- Perform hardware and firmware integration.
- Ensure proper interface with external devices and systems.
- Perform system verification and validation testing and DFMEA tests.
- Defining effort estimates and development logic to support scheduling and on-time delivery of development activities.
- Perform other activities as assigned by R&D manager.
- Degree or diploma in computer science, embedded system development or related.
- 5+ years experience in Embedded Firmware development is a must.
- Experience with common embedded system technologies such as Bluetooth/WiFi/GPS/cellular chipsets, accelerometer/temperature/light/ sensors, and memory modules.
- Familiar with STM
32 platform - FreeRTOS, TCP/IP CAN, Modbus, FatFS, - Experience with TouchGFX development
- Schematic capture and PCB layout experience an asset.
- Highly motivated with desire to be challenged and open to continuous learning.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and constraints.
