Shunt Driver Ayr

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains proper traffic flow within the yard
• Yard count of equipment
• Yard clean up – maintain GFL’s standards pertaining to yard cleanliness
• Update truck binders
• Recover equipment as needed
• Ensure safe operation and procedures are followed at all time
• Promote a safety culture with all employees
• Other duties as assigned

• Must have a clean abstract, cvor and criminal record
• Previous shunting experience is an asset
• Excellent communication skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Mechanical knowledge is an asset
• ELD knowledge
• Must have excellent knowledge of Schedule 1
• Perform inspection on tractor and trailers
• Must have AZ licence
• Must be time efficient and able to work in a fast‑paced environment to meet all deadlines
• Must be able to work flexible schedule when required
