Here’sWhat You’ll Do:
The AZ Truck Driver (Class
A) is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of Manual tractor-trailers and other large commercial vehicles, completing long-haul deliveries throughout Ontario and the United States, with frequent cross-border travel. This role supports the transportation of grain bins, manufactured components, and related materials to customer and project sites. Drivers typically depart on Monday and remain on the road for the workweek, returning home on weekends.
Drivers must operate in full compliance with MTO, CVOR, U.S. DOT, and federal transportation regulations, including Hours of Service rules, border documentation, and inspection requirements, while maintaining a high standard of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Your day to day will look like this:- Safely operate a tractor-trailer on long-haul routes across Ontario and the U.S., including highways, rural roads, and job sites
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections
- Load, secure, transport, and unload grain bins and manufactured components without damage
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and comply with weight and transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs), mileage, fuel usage, border paperwork, and delivery records
- Manage driving time and rest periods in compliance with Hours of Service requirements
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding routes, schedules, and delivery updates
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for efficient loading and departure
- Notify customers of arrival times, delays, and delivery completion
- Adapt to changing routes, traffic, weather, and border conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites and border crossings
- Play a key role in the growth, stability, and success of Horst Systems

- Class A (AZ) License
