Drive box trucks and specialized equipment from GFL’s Brantford, Ontario base, handling customer-site waste collection, loading, and required documentation.
As a Box Truck Driver, you will collect liquid and solid hazardous wastes from various customer sites. You will operate box trucks, vacuum trucks, tractor trailers, and other licensed equipment. The position requires customer communication, daily dispatcher contact, accurate paperwork, and safe, timely route completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate box trucks, vacuum trucks, and tractor trailers
- Load and unload trucks at customer sites
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Verify customer satisfaction with provided service
- Perform end-of-day driver check-ins and paperwork
- High School diploma minimum
- Valid DZ Commercial Driver’s License
- Manual and automatic transmission operating ability
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends
- Professional demeanor during stressful situations
